My ideal work environment focuses on the people, utilizing the people with the right talents for the task at hand regardless of geographic location. It involves the right balance of remote collaboration between geographically distributed team as well as in-person work time. The people are enthusiastic about their work, focused and self-motivated to succeed. Being "part of a team" isn't just about having co-workers who you share space and project workload with. It is about everybody pushing as hard as they can in the same direction in order for everyone to succeed together--being able to depend on each other, or having to make sacrifices for one another.
